Hiring: Maintenance Crew Lead/Foreman

The Maintenance Crew Lead is responsible for performing a variety of work tasks in order to manage the timely completion of property maintenance contracts. The maintenance crew lead will be required to supervise a crew of laborers and operate a variety of tools and equipment to carry out specified job tasks, as well as provide daily progress reporting on job time and property detailed notes.
Job Duties:
• Oversee and lead property maintenance to include proper plant pruning, weeding, dead heading, clearing beds of refuse, irrigation checks and minor repairs
• Communicate with customers in a polite and courteous manner
• Ability to identify common garden pests and prescribe treatment
• Operate power equipment including, but not limited to, line trimmers, blowers, hedge trimmers, pruning saws, and chainsaws
• Train crew members and conduct on-site orientations with new employees and employees in new positions, which cover all company health and safety policies, practices, and procedures
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years in the landscape/grounds maintenance industry with leadership experience
• Capable of operating required equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
• Time management skills
• Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various landscape maintenance practices
A typical workweek is:
• 4-day work week (Monday-Thursday)
• 40 – 45 hours
• If weekend work is available, it is on a voluntary basis
